About the Firm

A Canadian engineering-led supply firm, headquartered in Montreal.

Arctic Stream Components Inc. was incorporated in Québec in 2009 to serve a specific gap in the Canadian market: rigorous, engineering-led procurement of industrial refrigeration and cold-chain components for regulated industries.

Our Story

Founded on the discipline of technical procurement.

The firm was established in Montreal, Québec in 2009 by Isabelle Tremblay, P.Eng., following a decade in mechanical consulting practice. Her thesis was straightforward: Canadian owners of process cooling assets were being asked to reconcile international OEM catalogues, provincial pressure vessel regulations, refrigerant transition timelines, and insurer requirements — often without a technically accountable intermediary. Arctic Stream Components Inc. was formed to be that intermediary.

Over the past fifteen years, the firm has grown into a full-service supplier and integrator, with clients in food and beverage processing, cold storage, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and public recreation. Our work continues to be characterised by long client relationships, engineering-defensible specifications, and quiet execution.

Mission

Serviceable systems, defensible documentation.

We supply components and technical services that owners can operate, insurers can underwrite, and regulators can approve. That obligation shapes every quotation we issue.

We do not pursue growth that would compromise the calibre of our engineering review or the tenure of our client relationships. We take on mandates where our capability is a direct match, and we decline those where it is not.

Leadership

Accountability rests with named people.

Marc-André Dubois
Vice President, Supply Chain & Procurement

Marc-André leads commercial operations, vendor qualification, and client-facing procurement for Arctic Stream Components Inc. He has fifteen years of experience in Canadian industrial refrigeration supply.

Isabelle Tremblay, P.Eng., MBA
President & Chief Executive Officer

Isabelle is a licensed professional engineer (OIQ) and a former mechanical practice lead at a national engineering consultancy. She founded the firm in 2009.

David Chen, P.Eng.
Vice President, Engineering & Compliance

David directs technical acceptance, refrigerant strategy, and provincial regulatory filings across all mandates.

Governance & Responsibility

Operating standards that outlast any single contract.

The firm maintains written policies covering vendor qualification, conflict of interest, workplace health and safety, and environmental stewardship. Our refrigerant management practice is aligned with Environment and Climate Change Canada's obligations under the Ozone-depleting Substances and Halocarbon Alternatives Regulations (SOR/2016-137).

We engage with Indigenous-owned suppliers and Québec francophone SMEs as part of our long-term procurement strategy, and report on this activity annually to clients who request it.

Accreditations and memberships include CSA Group participation, ASHRAE (Montreal Chapter), the Canadian Institute of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (CIRAC), and the Manufacturiers et Exportateurs du Québec.
