Capabilities

Six practice areas, delivered as one integrated engagement.

Our practice is organised around the disciplines a Canadian owner actually needs from a refrigeration components partner: engineering-defensible specification, disciplined procurement, and durable aftermarket support.

01

Industrial Refrigeration Components

Scope

Component-level supply for ammonia (R-717), CO₂ (R-744), and lower-GWP HFO systems: screw and reciprocating compressors, evaporators, air-cooled and evaporative condensers, oil separators, purgers, level controls, motorised and safety valves.

Deliverables

Bill of materials with manufacturer part numbers and country of origin; ITP and inspection release documents; commissioning spares recommendation; refrigerant-charge and pressure-relief calculations.

Standards & References

CSA B52 Mechanical Refrigeration Code · ASHRAE 15 · IIAR 2 / 6 / 7 (where referenced) · provincial pressure vessel regulations

02

Cold-Chain Engineering

Scope

Design review and specification for temperature-controlled facilities: receiving and shipping docks, blast and holding freezers, chilled storage, pharmaceutical stability rooms, and reefer container interfaces.

Deliverables

Load calculations, envelope and vapour-barrier review, control philosophy narrative, alarm and monitoring specification, commissioning protocol.

03

Procurement & Supply

Scope

Consolidated sourcing from qualified OEMs in North America, the European Union, and Asia. Landed-cost quotations with duties, brokerage, and inland freight. Vendor-managed inventory for repeat consumables.

Deliverables

RFQ package, comparative bid analysis, vendor pre-qualification file, purchase order administration, ETA tracking, and customs clearance coordination.

04

Compliance & Testing

Scope

Factory acceptance testing, pressure vessel documentation packages, refrigerant leak-test protocols, and provincial authority filings.

Deliverables

CRN (Canadian Registration Number) coordination, U-stamp and CSA-B51 vessel documentation, test reports, manufacturer data reports, and inspector correspondence.

Standards & References

CSA B51 Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Pressure Piping Code · TSSA (ON) · Régie du bâtiment du Québec · Alberta ABSA · Technical Safety BC

05

Aftermarket & Retrofit

Scope

Parts continuity for legacy installations, obsolescence management for OEM-discontinued platforms, and refrigerant transition programs for HFC phase-down compliance.

Deliverables

Ten-year parts continuity plan, drop-in and retrofit refrigerant assessments, revised nameplate and relief-valve calculations, and updated operator documentation.

Standards & References

Ozone-depleting Substances and Halocarbon Alternatives Regulations (SOR/2016-137) · ECCC reporting where applicable

06

Project Integration

Scope

Coordination role between owner engineering, mechanical consultants, EPC contractors, and equipment installers on greenfield and brownfield process cooling installations.

Deliverables

Interface control documents, procurement schedule integrated to construction critical path, submittal register, and closeout O&M documentation.
